The New Top 20 Real Estate Websites

According to HitWise, via the good people at PropertyPortalWatch, the list of Top 20 Real Estate sites has had movement that should be taken note of:

The top 10 US real estate websites in terms of visits in April, and their previous positions, were:

1. realtor.com (1)
2. zillow.com (2)
3. realestate.yahoo.com (3)
4. rent.com (4)
5. ziprealty.com (5)
6. trulia.com (6)
7. homes.com (8)
8. remax.com (10)
9. rentals.com (14)
10. mynewplace.com (12)

The big winners between 11th and 20th place were redfin.com, which finally managed to move further into the top 20, and real estate and car portal connectwithlife.com, which jumped from 49th to 20th position:

12. realestate.msn.com (9)
13. apartments.com (11)
14. forrent.com (16)
15. century21.com(17)
16. redfin.com (19)
17. hud.gov (18)

The top five most popular real estate search terms for the month were “realtor.com”, “zillow”, “apartments for rent”, “real estate”, and “remax”.

The Top 6 have remained static, but the arrival of rentals.com, and mynewplace.com in the Top 10, is telltale that the rental market is growing, at least in the online space.  Kudos to both of these great listing companies!
